Together Through Sport is a United Kingdom based project coordinated and delivered by Team PE International.
It aims to use sport to help refugees and asylum seekers become more connected and supported in their communities.
The project will follow 3 key stages:
Warwickshire, United Kingdom Project
Stage 1 will focus on engagement. Refugees and asylum seekers within the area will be provided with safe and inclusive opportunities to participate in sport together.
Stage 2 will provide leadership opportunities for participants. Training will be provided related to the operation and delivery of the project with the aim of participants taking on leadership roles . This will include health & safety, project coordination, and sport for development pedagogy.
Stage 3 will aim to involve the general public. People from the Warwickshire and Coventry area will be invited to participate in sessions. The aim of this will be to promote a sense of community and belonging between everyone involved.
The Warwickshire project will run in collaboration with Compassionate Kenilworth and the Kenilworth Community Centre who are kindly supporting with facility access.
